Privacy policy
Thank you for your interest in our website. Your privacy is very important to us. In the following, we will give you a simple overview of how we handle your personal data when you use our website. Personal data includes all data with which you can be personally identified, e.g. your name, your e-mail address or your IP address.

We treat your personal information confidentially and in accordance with the legal data security regulations and this privacy policy. When you use our website, personal data with which you can be personally identified is collected. This privacy policy describes what data we collect and for what purpose we use it. Please note that data transmission over the Internet - e.g. when communicating via e-mail - may involve security gaps. It is not possible to protect such data completely against access by third parties.

3. Your right to disclosure, blocking and deletion
You have the right to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of data processing and, if necessary, a right to correction, blocking or deletion of this data at any time within the scope of the applicable legal provisions. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint if you have any further questions on the subject of personal data.
4. Revocation of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke your consent at any time. For this purpose, you need to send us an informal e-mail. Revocation does not affect the legality of all data processing that occurred up to the point of revocation.
5. Right to data portability
You have the right to have data which we process automatically on the basis of your consent or as part of fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another person responsible, this shall take place only if it is technically feasible.
6. Right of appeal to the responsible supervisory authority
In the event of breaches of data protection law, the person concerned has a right of appeal to the responsible supervisory authority. The responsible supervisory authority for data protection issues is the data protection commissioner of North Rhine-Westphalia. The contact information of the data protection commissioner of North Rhine-Westphalia is available under the following link: Protection commissioner of North Rhine-Westphalia.
7. Objection against advertising mails
We hereby expressly object to the use of contact information published within the scope of the imprint obligation to send unsolicited advertising and information material. We expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising information, such as spam e-mails.
8. Use of SSL or TLS encryption
Our website uses SSL or TLS encryption to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests that you send to us via our contact form. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the lock symbol in your browser bar and by the fact that the address bar of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://". When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
9. Use of cookies
In order to make the use of our website appealing to you and to enable certain functions, we use so-called cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your end device. Some of the cookies we use are so-called session cookies. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser the next time you visit our website. You can set your browser in such a way that you are informed about the setting of cookies and you can decide individually about their acceptance or exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or generally. If cookies are not accepted, the functionality of our website may be restricted. Cookies, which are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions desired by you, are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for technically error-free and optimised provision of our services. If other cookies - e.g. cookies for analysing your user behaviour - are stored, these are explained separately.
10. Storage of access data in server log files
You can use our website without providing any personal information. On our behalf, only access data is stored in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This includes e.g. browser type and browser version, operating system, referrer URL, name of the requested file, date and time of retrieval, transferred data volume, the requesting provider and your IP address. This data is evaluated exclusively to ensure the trouble-free operation of our website and to improve our offer and does not allow us to draw any conclusions about your person. This data is not combined with other data sources. The basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the fulfilment of a contract or pre-contractual measures.
11. Information on data transfer to the USA
Our website uses, in particular, tools from companies based in the USA. When these tools are active, your personal information may be transferred to the US servers of these companies. We must point out that the USA is not a safe third country within the meaning of EU data protection law. US companies are required to release personal data to security authorities without you as the data subject being able to take legal action against this. The possibility cannot therefore be excluded that US authorities (e.g. secret services) may process, evaluate and permanently store your data on US servers for monitoring purposes. We have no influence over these processing activities.
12. Use of our contact form
When using our contact form, we collect personal data only to the extent provided by you. We use your contact information e.g. your e-mail address, only to process your request. Your data shall not be passed on to third parties. Thus, the data is processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time. For this purpose, you need to send us an informal e-mail. Revocation does not affect the legality of the data processing operations that occurred up to the point of revocation. The data entered by you in the contact form shall remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent for storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies, e.g. after your request has been processed. Mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.
13. Use of Google Maps
Our website uses the Google Maps service via an API. The service provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Irland. It is necessary to store your IP address in order to use Google Maps functions. This information is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We have no influence on this data transmission. Google Maps is used in the interest of an appealing presentation of our website and in order to make it easier to locate the places indicated by us on this website. This is considered a legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 Sec. 1 lit. f GDPR. You can find more information about handling user data in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
14. Right to make changes to the privacy policy
We reserve the right to change the aforementioned information on data protection at any time in compliance with data protection regulations in order to adapt it to the changed legal situation or in the event of changes to the service and data processing. However, this only applies with regard to the declarations on data processing. If your consent is required for the changes or if parts of the privacy policy contain provisions of the contractual relationship with you, the changes will only be made with your consent.
